Oh, the stuff we’ve seen:

A plethora of paintings, perfume, pipes and plastic!

There’s that old saying: “If I’ve seen one, I’ve seen 100.” Or more aptly, “If you have one why not have 100” (or more)?

It’s a frequent observation we have as we go about the interesting and often challenging task of downsizing and liquidating estates. More is not always better, as you can flood the market with too much of one thing if you’re not careful.

Our job is to figure out what to do with unwanted goods. That means assessing what’s there, its financial value or utility, and the most cost-efficient way to get them out of the way.

So imagine dealing with a house full of 150 oil paintings from the 1700 and 1800’s. Or hundreds of boxes and bottles of vintage perfume. Tobacco pipes, anyone? Not quite 100 (whew!). And what do you do with thousands of plastic vintage toys, most still in the original packaging?

The plan isn’t always obvious or simple. Nor done in one fell swoop, or even locally. But it’s always gratifying to re-home rather than toss, and especially so if the outcome involves a profit for our client.

If you’re curious about end results, or you have a similar situation with your stuff, get in touch. We always welcome a challenge!
